Material Uploaded via our Malware Submission Form or Submitted in Comments
We do our utmost to sanitize details uploaded or posted in comments. We try to make sure all private and personal information about the recipient is removed. We frequently post details about the criminals and scammers who distribute the malware etc.
On very frequents occasions innocent people or companies will have their details spoofed so that it appears that the malware or scam is being sent from them. We often do post those details but ALWAYS make it clear that the person or company is innocent and not actually sending the emails, malware or scams.
Details like these are generally exempt from the ” EU GDPR, Right to be Forgotten” and other “privacy” rules under the “Public Interest” exemptions. It is of vital importance for an email recipient to be able to find out if an email is genuine or likely to contain malware, phishing or other scams.
