I have seen some useless and inept attempts to scam somebody over the years but this one must rank very high in the failure scale. Basically the scammer pretends to be the FBI working with Icloud to stop scammers taking over your account. They tell you that if you don’t pay $112 inside 2 hours to a bitcoin address to pay for a tool that stops scammers, they will lock your account.
Of course it is false and yet another scam from the wanabee criminals who jump on the bandwagon of ransomware. The bad spelling and grammar mistakes are more than enough to tell you it is yet another scam. Normal ransomware works by actually locking your files or encrypting your files and making you pay to get them back. Asking you to pay to prevent it happening is just a wanabee scam
