fake FBI director $9.5m USD 419 scam
We do see a few almost believable 419 ( advance fee fraud) scams from time to time. This even more laughable attempt than yesterday’s version definitely isn’t one! The scammer only want $525 as a special one time only custom clearance charge.
I never knew the FBI director used a Japanese email address to send emails or have a reply to yahoo email address.
Remember many email clients, especially on a mobile phone or tablet, only show the Name in the From: and not the bit in <domain.com >. That is why these scams and phishes work so well.

When I get a scam in that has a reply address, which has to be there for their scam to work, I spam them back.
Go to christianity.com
On the right hand side, select more newsletters
Put in the reply address
tick all the boxes
Subscribe.
I have tested this with mailinator.com. It works.
It doesn’t ask you to verify your email address
They will get 89 christian newsletters, some daily, some weekly, some monthly, until they unsubscribe all of them individually.
